Bad sign of Europe’s early dominance for Americans

If the story of Ryder Cup has taught us anything over the past decade, is that Americans, after being violated in Foursoms on Friday morning, may be in trouble.

Europeans set out 3-1 at the Ryder 2025 Cup on Friday at Bethpage Black At Long Island, winning all three of their games convincingly (and almost stealing the last).

In Ryder’s past five cups, the team that won Friday Foursomes has won Ryder Cup. Will that trend continue? We will discover it within two days.

Europe attracts us to the Ryder Cup on Friday

Bryson dechambeau Alluding to his plan to drive the green in the PAR-4 opening hole in the black course, and Dechambeau almost made it and later rolled into Putt for Birdie, giving Justin Thomas and Dechambeau an early 1-up lead in the first match.

It was a great start for SH.BA, but things went downhill from there.

Dechambeau and Thomas did not get another hole all morning. Jon Rahm and Tyrrell Hatton, in a fourth group that was made up of three members of the Liv Golf, won back-back holes in 7 and 8 and again at 12 and 13.

Even in par-3 14, when Thomas placed it near and Dechambeau rolled in the bird’s putt, Rahm matched him to keep the lead 3 up. They closed it a hole later, winning 4 and 3, when Thomas lost a short put.

Behind them, it was very blue on the steering board.

Ludwig Aberg and Matt Fitzpatrick won 5 and 3 on World No.1 Scottie Scheffler and Russell Henley, and Rory Mcilroy and Tommy Fleetwood won 5 and 4 on Collin Morikawa and Harris English. Xander Schauffle and Patrick Cantlay received the only victory for the SH.BA

Both couples of Aberg and Fitzpatrick and Mcilroy and Fleetwood make three birds right at no. 4-6 to build large directions early. Aberg and Fitzpatrick were specially seven under 14 holes.

A few minutes after Europe’s first point, Mcilroy and Fleetwood placed a bow in their dominated victory. And about 15 minutes later, it was 3-0, as Fitzpatrick and Aberg won their 15th green match.

After them, in a match the Americans had once led 3 up, SH.BA suddenly hanged to provide a precious point.

Victor Hovland made 10 feet for Birdie to win both 10 and 11, and the American bullet was only 1 up. Suddenly Americans were trying to avoid a cleansing of the historic session, something that the outside team had not done since 1987 (though Europe led 4-0 after the opening session two years ago on the way to its prevailing victory).

They were tied up at 14, and on 15 Hovland made another clutch stroke, making a short principle to win the hole after Cantlay lost his evening with three holes to play.

After a tie in the 16th, the Americans won 17 with the first after Robert Macintyre hit his tee in the bunker and could not turn the first. The US provided the only point by winning 18, taking the match 2 up.
