Babar Azam broke the record of legendary West Indies National Cricket Team batsman Chris Gayle and became the fastest batsman to score 11000 runs in the history of T20 cricket.

Babar Azam shines in Centurion T20I
Former Pakistan National Cricket Team captain Babar failed as he took 4 bulk ducks in the first T20I against the Proteas.
However, he made a strong comeback in the second T20I on Friday, December 13 at the SuperSport Park in Centurion. Babar looked in classy touch and ensured that the strike rate remained high.
He batted with unwavering confidence and led his team to a great start. Babar, on the other hand, could not score a big goal as he was dismissed by George Linde in the 12th minute.
On the first ball of the 12th over, Linde hit an aerial delivery to Babar Azam towards long-on. However, he failed to connect with it well and was caught by Ferreira. Babar Azam completed his innings with 31 runs, 20 balls, 3 fours and 1 six.
Babar Azam completes 11000 T20 runs and 14000 runs in international cricket
Babar didn’t score big but still his performance helped him achieve some sensational milestones. He became the fastest player in the history of T20 cricket to score 11000 runs. This is a remarkable achievement for Babar, who is not rated as a good T20 player.
Babar Azam became the 11th player to reach this milestone and has the second lowest strike rate (129.37) behind Shoaib Malik (127.47). The player with the highest strike rate with 11000 or more T20 runs is Kieron Pollard (150.51).
Babar also completed 14,000 runs in international cricket, becoming the second fastest Pakistani to achieve the feat after the legendary Mohammad Yousuf.
