Keyshawn Davis announces his next battle on Friday, April 18, for his first defense of his WBO lightweight title against Edwin de Los Santos on June 7 at the Scope Arena in Norfolk, Virginia.
The ‘Gauntlet’ ignored?
Davis (13-0, 9 COs) demanded a fight against Gerrvonta ‘Tank’ Davis, but did not show the bravery to put himself in a position to fight him by going an active minefield of still explosive mines against these three talents:
- Andy cruz
- Raymond Muratalla
- Abdullah Mason
Instead of fighting against them, Keyshawn will face #13th Los Santos (16-2, 14 COs), who has not fought in two years and has a loss of Shakur Stevenson in 2023. The timing of a fight against De Los Santos works for Keyshawn because he gets a ring-rest opponent. Two years ago, the battle would have made more sense, but not now.
Keyshawn should fight against Andy Cruz on June 7. Cruz beat Davis four times, called him 24/7 and is on the tip of 1 WBC.
