Australia are on a high in Brisbane, reducing India to 51/4 after posting 445 runs in the first innings.
Coming into the India-Australia match, the Pat Cummins-led side is in the driver’s seat. So far, the rain-soaked encounter has been in their favour, as they have dominated with both bat and ball and looked favorites to win the game.
After being asked to bat first, they produced an amazing effort. They posted 445 runs with centuries by Travis Head (152) and Steve Smith (101). Alex Carey’s half-century eventually powered them to just 450 runs.
So with the ball they were top class. The hosts quickly removed four Indian wickets in Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant. At stumps on Day 3, India were 51/4 with KL Rahul (30*) and Rohit Sharma at the crease. The visitors would be hoping that the duo will put up a big partnership and bail the team out of trouble.
