Austin ‘Ammo’ Williams prevails over Patrice Volny in a hard decision at Caribe Royale Orlando


In the main meeting on Saturday night, middleweight Southpaw Austin ‘Ammo’ Williams, 18-1 (12) defeated former NABF and WBO Nabf champion Patrice Volny, 19-2 (13) by a unanimous 12 round decision to win the WBA Continental Americas title in the Caribe Royale in Orlando, Florida.

In the first two rounds, Williams controlled with his sting. In the third round due to the High Guard or Volny, Williams went to the middle part before dropping Volny in the last minute.

In the fourth and fifth rounds, Volny came back well enough to take both rounds. Both mixed it well in the sixth round, with full cut to land an edge on the chin. In the final seconds, Williams skipped Volny with half a minute with a left hand on the chin.

In the seventh round it was nearby, with Williams dropping his guard with body shots that ended up after the chin. In the tenth round, Williams ends it with a real hook on Volny’s chin.

In the eleventh round, Williams had an lead in a close round, with an lead on the chin in the last minute. In the twelfth and final round, Williams dominated body shots at one point with half a dozen. Volny ends up a few blows.

The scores were 118-110, 116-112 and 115-113.

WBO Nabo Super Middleweight Champion Edgar ‘The Cose One’ Berlanga, 23-1 (18) stopped Jonathan ‘Mantequilla’ Gonzalez Organ, 20-1-1 (16), from the first round of a 10.

In the last minute of the first round, a Berlanga left hook on the chin dropped him for an 8 scores by referee Chris Young. Seconds later, a right on the chin of Berlanga and Down ‘Gonzalez Orthiz for another 8 score. When he got up, he was hit by two Berlanga strokes before Ref Young finally brought a standby.

Super Welterweight 2024 Olympic Omari Jones, 1-0 (1) knocked out Aessio Mastronunzio (14-6 (4) at 0:22 of the second of a 6.

In the last minute of the first round, Alamo Ortiz threw on the chin with a left hook. In fourth, Ortiz landed a left bean cup to the chin and put Alamo against the ropes.

In the sixth and seventh rounds, it went back and forth with Ortiz with a lead. In the eighth round, Ortiz Alamo had against the ropes before Alamo landed left to the chin and came from the ropes. In the ninth round with the right eye of Ortiz, near closing, he had a good round, with Alamo for the most part. In the tenth and last round, Ortiz continued with Alamo the whole round.

The scores were 99-91, 99-91 and 98-92. The referee was Massimo Montanini, and the ring broadcaster was David Diamonds
