Day 1 of the second Test between Australia and India At the Adelaide Oval, India’s captain, Rohit SharmaProduced a brilliant catch in the slips to deny the Australian opener, Osman Khawaja. Incredible catch by Rohit Sharma
The goalkeeper came out jasprit bumrah‘s bowling, with Khawaja caught at first slip. Known for his economy and deft delivery, Bumrah bowled a shortish delivery on the fifth-sixth stump line. The ball went slightly away and Khawaja, who was trying to defend, could not adequately cross the line. The ball took the thick edge of his bat and flew swiftly to Rohit at first slip. Despite the speed of the ball, Rohit reacted sharply by diving to his right to take a two-handed catch. This remarkable catch helped India make the breakthrough as Khawaja was dismissed 13 times off 35 balls with two boundaries. As he walked off the field, Khawaja shook his head, perhaps regretting his decision to play this wide out.
