All India Rise Nitish kumar reddy was excluded outside Third Odi against Australia At the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG), fans are curious about leaving.
Why is Nitish Reddy not playing today’s game against Australia?
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has confirmed that the 21-year-old has been forced to miss the final match of the series in the second ODI. GetMutback came as a blow to India’s team balance, with Reddy’s enhanced role as a more reliable batsman and seam-bowling option.
According to BCCI medical officials, Reddy was injured during the Adelaide clash. The team’s physiotherapists assessed his condition and recommended rest, threatening to take the field in Sydney. Lined up with several international series and domestic tournaments, the management chose to prioritize Reddy’s rehabilitation and performance over short-term participation.
In an official statement, BTSI noted:
“Nitish Kumar Reddy is unavailable for selection in the third ODI due to a left Quadriceps injury sustained in the previous game. He remains under the observation of the medical team and will continue his rehabilitation before returning.”
This warranty is expected to be a long-term concern, though it is significant enough to settle him for this match, stating that he is injured.
Reddy’s injury comes as he finds his rhythm at the international level. Known for his composed batting and smart seam bowling, the young all-rounder has impressed selectors and fans alike since his debut. His ability to consistently bowl under pressure and contribute crucial runs in the middle overs made him one of India’s most promising limited-overs prospects.
Kuldeep Yadav and Prasidh Krishna return to play India’s Xi
Reddy’s absence led to a strategic change in India’s playing XI for the third ODI. Kuldeep Yadav is back to exploit the traditional swashbuckling conditions at DSG, while PRASIDH Krishna replaces Arshdeep Singh to strengthen the PACE department. The team wanted a balanced attack with both spinners and spinners against an aggressive Australian batting line-up.
