Tilak Varma gets injured while batting against South Africa in 4th T20I
Left-handed batsman Tilak Varma was at his best with the bat in the fourth T20I against the Proteas. He looked sensational from the start and batted very well throughout the innings.
Varma wasted no time getting going and attacked the bowlers immediately after reaching the crease. As Aiden Markram tested all the weapons in his arsenal, the youngster’s aggression left the bowlers looking caught off guard.
Meanwhile, Andile Simelane stunned Tilak with a brutal delivery off the fourth ball of the 11th over. The batsman bowled to Tilak and the Indian attempted a shot but failed to make any contact with the ball. He was hit on the shoulder and looked up in great pain.
Tilak Varma collapsed on the ground after the incident and the physio came running and applied spray on the shoulder area. After that, the batter got up, put on his uniform and continued to dismantle.

South African bowlers battled it out in the 3rd T20I
South Africa’s bowlers struggled to contain India’s strong batting line-up in the third T20I. Although Marco Jansen dismissed Sanju Samson for a duck in the first over, South Africa failed to keep India’s runs in check with a perfect delivery that returned his off-stump.
Marco Jansen’s four overs were economical, conceding just 28 runs at an economy of 7.00, but he received little support from the rest of the bowlers.
Gerald Coetzee had a terrible day conceding 51 runs at just three runs with an economy of 17.00. Despite seven wides and not conceding a ball, Coetzee failed to find any breakthrough and allowed India to build significant partnerships. Lutho Sipamla’s four overs also cost him, as he struggled, conceding 45 runs at an economy of 11.25.
But Andile Simelane was able to secure two breakthroughs in time. He dismissed Indian skipper Suryakumar Yadav for just 1 and then delivered a pinpoint yorker to remove Rinku Singh for 8, finishing with figures of 2/34 from three overs.
Keshav Maharaj was frugal by comparison, taking 2/36 from his four overs. Maharaj removed the dangerous Abhishek Sharma, who scored a quick 50 off 25 balls, as well as Hardik Pandya, whose dismissal after scoring 18 left India at 132/4.
But these moments of control were few and far between and allowed India to register a win of 219/6 on the board.
