Athlete’s father strucks a weight throw in a high school event
Wade Langston, the athlete’s father, who competes at the University of Colorado, died after a stray weight.
The spokesman of the university said that the audience was “killed” when the involved hammer was cleared by certified obstacles and hit him. “
The 57-year-old child tried to protect his wife and son from a metal ball when he hits him.
“We are heartless with this terrible accident and are focused on supporting all those involved,” said Colorado University of Colorado Zeader Jennifer Sobanet.
Such accidents are extremely rare, but Langerston’s tragic death is mirrors in the Championships in Bedford 19 years ago, when he was 57 years old.
