Athletes unite to call the government to submit an application to the 2029 World Cup
- More than 100 of the best British athletes sign a letter to the Prime Minister for the support of the offer
- Once in life, a heritage of national economic and community influence of national economic and community influence
More than 100 of Britain’s most famous athletes today wrote the Prime Minister, urging the Government of the United Kingdom to capture the golden opportunity in 2029.
In a powerful open letter published today, the Olympic champions, global medalists and the stars speak one voice, calling the government to support the world’s largest athletics event in the London Stadium. They have won more than 750 medals in the international championship, more than 300 of whom are gold.
Among the signatories are very legends of sports from Sir Mo Farah, Hody Hodgkinson, Dame Kelly Holmes, Dame Jessica Ennis-Hill, Dina Asharina Johnson-Thompson-Dawa Assion, unite and deliver a durable national heritage.
The intervention of the athletes further increases the 2029 London campaign, which manages sports enterprises, the joint venture between the British Athletics, London marathon events and the great work company. The competition offers world-class championships at the London Stadium, demands one-time injession of state funding and promising more than 400 million pounds of national economic influence.
“This is the moment of giving something extraordinary this moment,” said Hugh Baran, the director of the events of the London Marathon and the co-founder of sports enterprises. “London 2029 is not a risk. It’s about the return of investments for the UK. Generations of athletes know the inspiring force of the home championship.
“With the support of the government in 2028, we will present the world’s largest championships. Commercial stable, community efficiency and global resonance.
But the athletes warn that the opportunity to support the government can pass the opportunity. Their open letter reminds ministers that home events create one-time moments for athletes and fans for athletes and fans and leave the legacies that “live for years.”
“This reverses in reliability and reliability,” said Jack Budges and co-founder of sports enterprises. “We know what home support can be achieved, and when our greatest athletes are united by one message, their call should not be ignored.
“With London 2029, we have the opportunity to occupy world championships, which raises the nation, inspires the next generation and displays Britain at its best. Now we need the government to stand with us. “
The 2029 application process will begin to start this summer, the organizers urge ministers to commit to the British championships in the coming weeks.
