Jj Spaun joined this week’s episode of Podcast Subpar of Golf To discuss his open title in the US, the resurrection of his career and more, and he also told the story of a friendly Rory Mcilroy Jab by the masters.
As the studio interview was completing, Subpar Drew Stoltz co-worker asked the spaun, “Have you ever received any wisdom words before starting a play-off?”
Spaun cursed and then laughed. “I have,” he said.
First, let’s review the 2025 player championship. Spaun and Mcilroy faced a general Play off with three holes on Monday morning with wind-mcilroy looking for his second player title and spaun looking for the biggest victory of his career.

Mcilroy caught the 16th bird and spaun. In the par-3 famous at TPC Sawgrass, however, the three holes Play was everything, but decided. Mcilroy found the green, but the spas flew it and landed in the water. He made 6, and Mcilroy won the tournament a hole later.
“I never thought anything other than 8-Hakuri,” Spaun said afterwards. “… even after Rory was hit 9, he is easily a club taller than me. I don’t know if I flew very well, but just passed through the wind. I couldn’t even tell where it would be. I believed it was time. ”But it was a great blow.
A few weeks later in Masters, Spaun and Nico Echavarria were tied up in the Masters Par-3 competition. Of course, Wednesday’s annual event is for fun, but they still hold a play off to set the winner. Spaun was returning to the PAR-3 course for play off when he crossed the trails with Mcilroy, who was leaving the range.
“(Rory’s) How,” Are you making a play-off for the par-3 competition? “” Sajun said in Subpar. “I’m like, yes. I think. And it’s like,” better get the club right away this time. “”
