of France Arthur Son has been a juggernaut at the ATP 500 level this year and has given the 20-year-old a huge holiday bonus.
Fils, who has won ATP 500 titles in Hamburg (red clay) and Tokyo (hardcourt), will take home an additional $615,000 for finishing atop the 2024 ATP 500 bonus pool.
The tournament is worth $1,340,000 to the top five performers in ATP 500 events to provide incentive for those to compete. Italian Jannik Sinner is currently in second place, but he could be overtaken by Alex de Minaur this weekend.
Second place earns an additional $310,000, third place takes home $205,000, fourth place takes home $130,000 and fifth nets $80,000.
Daniil Medvedev won the award last year.
The 20th-ranked Fils has won his last 13 ATP 500 matches, beating Stefanos Tsitsipas in Vienna today 7-6(5), 6-3. He will face Ben Shelton for a place in the final at the Erste Bank Open.

Fils matched his career-best win over world No 4 Alexander Zverev to capture the 2024 Hamburg title, then saved a championship point in the all-French final to beat compatriot Hugo Humbert in the Tokyo final .
The Frenchman has won eight of his last nine matches against Top 20 players, and holds an overall record of 35-24.
