Arsenal struck with Jack Wilshere in talks to join the Championship club


Former Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere is in “advanced talks” to become Norwich City’s first-team manager.

The 32-year-old retiree is currently in charge Arsenal U21 — a position he has held since July 2022.

Wilshere has overseen the young Gunners in just under 60 games in all competitions with an average of 1.64 points per game.

According to a recent report by Art de Roche de l’AthleticWilshere is on the verge of being appointed as Norwich City’s first team manager.

This news comes after Narcis Pelach recently left the Canaries to become manager of 17th-placed Stoke City.

Should Wilshere agree a full deal with Delia Smith’s side, he will join Johannes Thorup’s reject team in what would be a significant appointment for both the club and the former United player. ‘Arsenal.

The Canaries are currently seventh in the Championship table and are looking to win promotion to the Premier League for the first time since their relegation in 2020.
