Arsenal are currently second in the Premier League table but have had a mixed season.

Fans expected the club to be in a better position at this stage, but Arne Slot’s Liverpool have surprised everyone to take top spot in the league ahead of the Gunners.

Arsenal are currently on an 11-game unbeaten run following their latest 1-0 win against Ipswich Town at the Emirates Stadium.

They are finally starting to gain momentum but injuries have been a constant problem for Mikel Arteta’s side.

Gabriel Magalhaes, Martin Odegaard, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Mikel Merino and a few other players have all missed part of the season due to injuries and this has been a cause of great concern for the Gunners.

The bad news now is that they will be without their best player of the season, Bukayo Saka, for over two months.

The right-back tore his hamstring in Arsenal’s 5-1 win against Crystal Palace in the Premier League and Arteta has claimed the England international will be out for more than two months.

“He’s had a procedure and everything has gone well, but unfortunately he’s going to be out for many, many weeks.” Arteta said, as reported Sky Sports.

“It will be more than two months. I don’t know exactly how much longer. It will depend on how the scar tissue begins to heal, in the first week or so, and how mobile it is. It is very difficult to say.

“Bukayo’s replacement will be the team. There were times when tonight flowed well and times when it looked like there was still work to be done. But I’m sure we will. We have to trust the team and not the individual.”

Arsenal are set to enter the January transfer window

Arsenal are exploring a blockbuster move for the striker

The Gunners need to make a new signing in the January transfer window to deal with Saka’s absence.

We’ve seen how Rodri’s absence has weakened Manchester City and Saka’s injury could do the same to Arsenal.

He has been their best player for a long time and without him, the team’s creativity and ability to score goals suffers greatly.

Arteta should take advantage of the transfer market to make a new signing in the right-back position if he is to save his team’s season.

Saka’s injury may force the Gunners to make move for PSG’s Randal Kolo Muani.
