Arsenal are set to sign Viktor Gyokeres next summer

The four goals take Gyokeres’ tally for the season to 20 in 16 games. The 26-year-old has continued his form from the 2023/24 campaign into the current term, as the Sweden international produced 43 goals and 15 assists in 50 games last time out.

This appealed Arsenal’s interest in the summer who are still in the market for a new new issue.

Kai Havertz has stepped up to Mikel Arteta’s role this season, but the German star lacks the goal-scoring instinct of a player like Gyokeres.

The striker is believed to have an £85m release clause in his contract with Sporting, but reported The Express that the Portuguese giants were willing to listen to offers of around £43m. Whatever the share in 2025, Arsenal should pay for it as Gyokeres continues to improve.
