“The first links are with clubs like Monaco, so we will be clear,” Ornstein began.
“In the case of Arsenal, they have considered him among their long lists. I’m not saying he was shortlisted in the past, (but) he was talked about like many other names before he went to PSG.
“I’m sure they would have looked at him, and I’m not aware of any searches on this occasion. You never know, and I’m not saying this will happen at Arsenal, but January is largely a reactive market.
“If the opportunity for a low-cost loan for six months presents itself and a club like Arsenal believes they have the space, have the need, have the right player profile or offer a different option to what they already have has , and it has the right character… then, okay, let’s have a conversation about it.
“That hasn’t happened with Arsenal as far as I know, but I think he’s one who has a very good chance of moving.”
