Arsenal have reportedly made an informal approach to AC Milan striker Rafael Leao’s representatives to inquire about his interest in a move to the Emirates Stadium.
The Gunners also seem to have received Leao’s response, which is this the Portuguese international is happy at San Siro and without looking to move.
This according to a report by Football transferswho claim that Leao is fully focused on Milan at the moment, and will not discuss a January move from the club.

This could mean, in theory, that Leao won’t rule out a summer move to Arsenal, but it remains to be seen whether the north London giants will go for him again or if they can agree a deal with Milan.
The Italian giants will surely be desperate to keep hold of this important player, with the 25-year-old establishing himself as a world-class striker during his time in Serie A.

Leao could be an ideal upgrade for the likes of Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard, but he may not be the only such player joining the Gunners’ target list at the moment.
A report of The Athletic has mentioned that Arsenal remain interested in Athletic Bilbao’s Nico Williams, who would have a similar style of quick and skilful goal threat from the left wing.
It will be interesting to see how this saga plays out, but Arsenal fans will surely be excited to see their club push for big names like Leao.
