Young all-rounder Arjun Tendulkar produced a sensational performance for Goa against Karnataka during the Dr (Capt) K Thimmappiah Memorial Tournament. Legendary son Sachin Tendulkar came up with a match-winning try for his team and helped them pick up important points.
Arjun Tendulkar warmed up quite well for the upcoming domestic season as he faced off against Karnataka in a tournament consisting mostly of U-19 and U-23 players. Goa picked up nine wickets in the game as they cruised to a massive 189-run victory.
Arjun Tendulkar made a big impact for his team in the first innings. The left-arm pacer produced an outstanding effort as he returned with figures of 5/41 in 13 overs, picking five wickets. His effort with the ball saw Karnataka reach a total of 103 in 36.5 overs.
In response, Goa put up a colossal effort with the bat. Abhinav Tejrana scored a sensational century with the bat and finished with 109 runs. Manthan Khutkar also scored a vital half-century which ended with 69 runs. Their effort took the team to a total of 413 runs on the board.
Tendulkar then made sure to deliver another magnificent spell for his team in the second innings. He returned 4-for-46 13.3 times. Thanks to his efforts with the ball, Goa bundled out their opponents for 121 in 30.4 overs and won the game by a huge margin of 189 runs.
Arjun Tendulkar played 13 first-class games and scored 21 goals
Tendulkar has been working hard during the domestic season for the past few years. The left-arm fast bowler played 49 competitive games across three formats at senior level and scored 68 wickets with the ball.
Tendulkar also played 13 first-class matches and also picked 21 wickets. Sachin Tendulkar’s son also did well with the bat as he scored crucial runs for his team while running the order. He also moved to Goa because there was no opportunity in the team.
Apart from the domestic circuit, Arjun Tendulkar also performed in the Indian Premier League. The left-arm pacer played for Mumbai Indians in the league. He has been with the franchise for a long time, but due to the team merger, he didn’t get much opportunity for the team.
But in the limited opportunities that Tendulkar had, he did not live up to expectations. The all-rounder played 4 games for the team in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 and picked 3 wickets in the season. He then played one game in 2024 and did not pick a wicket.
