Eddie Hearn says there were no negotiations between Anthony Joshua and Tony Yoka. He hears that the name of Yoka is mentioned, but it is not on the target list for the next battle of AJ. Hearn’s plans for Joshua (28-4, 25 COs) to fight against Jake Paul.
No negotiations with yoka
“Tony Yoka is a name that continues to go to me as it was done. There were not even negotiations with Tony Yoka yet. He may be on a list of five or ten,” Eddie Hearn said Box news About Anthony Joshua’s next battle.
It is understandable that Hearn wants to do the Joshua against Jake Paul Fight next. This is the much greater money fight for AJ, and it is one he would have a great chance to get through without suffering a defeat.
Tony Yoka is at the 6’7 ″ Tony Yoka more risk due to the size, pedigree and the doll he has in his push. Yoka is not the biggest puncher, but with his 82-inch range he has a better chance of landing his shots than Paul, who would give away six inches in the reach of AJ.
The Paul fight payday
Hearn and Joshua go to the Mega Pay Day against Jake Paul while it is still there. Once they have checked the box, Yoka may be the next target if Tyson Fury does not get out of the pension.
“The opportunity to fight in Africa is a real one, and that’s what the visit to the website is about,” says Hearn. “We are very interested to do so, but my focus is to make the Jake Paul fight, and we are approaching to make the opportunity. I think that’s what’s going to be next. ‘
It helps Jake be eager to fight Joshua, because there will be no trouble starting negotiations, unlike Tyson Fury, who for some reason does not have much desire to face AJ. He knows what this would do to his career if he was through Joshua. So, he chooses not to come out of pension to fight against him, although it would probably be a career height of payday.
“Yes, I believe it,” said Hearn when asked if he thought fans Joshua would see next Paul next.
Hearn has trapped to the Jake Paul battle for AJ and wants to do the one next. What makes it important for Hearn to do this is that Jake Gervonta Davis has proclaimed. Once he fights, he can be knocked out by the 5’5 “tank. It would take away all interest in a battle between Joshua and Paul.
