The long-awaited top-20 debut of Top-20 Amanda Animova It’s here! The American became the lowest ranking champion in the history of women of women in Doha on Saturday, and two days later she makes her debut on the Top-20 tour at No.18 (+23).
Anismova, who defeated the five best players of 30 in Doha before taking Jelena Ostapenko of the 37th rank in the final, eclipses in her previous career of no.21 with three points.
This is aniimova’s highest ranking since 2019, when she was a Roland-Garros semi-finalist.
After receiving a seven-month interruption due to mental health in 2023, Animova began 2024 at no. 373 in the world.
Animova claimed her third career title on Saturday. Her defeated enemy, Jelena Ostrapenko, rises 11 points again to no.27 in the ranking as a result of reaching its first WTA 1000 final in six years.
Other lifters: Sramkova / Ngouunoue
Rebecca Sramkova of Slovakia, which brought Mirra Andreeva last week in Doha, casts four more points in a high career at no.42. The 28-year-old Slovak is constantly climbing after making her debut at Top-100 in 2024.
American Clervie Ngouunue rises 37 spots in a high career 253 after claiming her second career event ITF W50 last week in Birmingham. Former New No.1 and Girls’ Champion Wimbledon will return 19 years old in July.
