Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou insisted his belief in his project is unwavering despite Sunday’s crushing defeat at Evertonbut he admitted that new signings are vital to turning things around.

“We’re pretty stretched,” he said. “We literally had 11 players fit enough to start the game. We didn’t have full control of our organization and Everton took advantage of that and we paid the price. Radu (Dragusin) had to come off because of the deep cut and restructure .
“There will be urgency (in the transfer market) but I don’t need to say that, everyone sees it. I have no problem with how the club is doing, they are working hard and trying to find solutions. These players need help, that’s for sure, and we hope that in the next ten days we will find a solution. It is very complicated, we are not the only ones in the market.”
