The Reds have shown interest in Kvaratskhelia as a potential January signing.
Paris Saint-Germain and Napoli are currently engaged in talks over a deal, with Napoli demanding €80 million (£67m). In the meantime, Liverpool is waiting for a chance to make their move
Antonio Conte was open as he communicated his views on the transfer.
“[Kvaratskhelia] asked the club to be sold. I am disappointed, I realised that it was a bolt from the blue and I am taking a step back”.
“I would never want him to think that I have chained him here if he were to stay”.
“I tried to convince him of the project’s value last summer, but it seems I failed”.
“We are losing an important player”, he added.
Liverpool has yet to start the signing process for the player.
