Andy Cruz expressed social media after his disappointment in his ‘son’, Keyshawn Davis, for not stripping off his WBO lightweight title last Friday night in Norfolk, Virginia. It appears that Keyshawn’s once promising career disintegrates due to his actions. Cruz says it’s “not my values I taught him.”

Cruz: “Not my values”
2020 Olympic gold medalist Cruz says it is “not the values he learned in the amateur days Keyshawn, and he says that he will be” reunited “with him in time. Keyshawn plans to fight as a light welter weight now to make it easier for him to make weight. He should have done this a year ago when it was clear that he was too great for the 135 pound division.
Davis had a bad week. Not only did he lose his title by entering the lightweight boundary in 4.3 pounds, but he ended up in his locker Albright last Saturday in his locker room with his former opponent, Nahir Albright. This was after Albright defeated Kelvin Davis’s older brother Kelvin Davis by a majority decision of ten rounds.
“As a Father, I feel disappointed in my son, because these are not the values I showed him. It is a matter of time before Father and Son are reunited. He will never escape me. Weight last Friday for his canceled title defense against Edin de Los Santos.
The Cuban Andy Cruz beat Davis four times in the amateurs, including in the final of the 2020 Olympics. In the benefits, Keyshawn showed no desire to fight against Cruz again, and many believe he is afraid to be beaten again.
Andy’s upcoming title Eliminator
Cruz (5-0, 2 food) fights against Hironori Mishiro (17-1-1, 6 food) in a 12-round IBF lightweight title eliminator on Saturday, June 14, on Dazn. The winner of their fight is the compulsory challenger for Raymond Muratalla of the IBF-LB champion. Cruz-Mishiro is the co-function on the Richardson Hitchins against George Kambosos Jr. Card at the theater in Madison Square Garden in New York.
