The Toronto Blue Jays missed the postseason for the first time in three seasons, finishing 74-88 and in last place in the American League East.
After a rough season, the Blue Jays entered the offseason with high hopes of adding some big names to their roster, but things didn’t go as planned.
The Blue Jays reportedly pursued multiple free agents, including Juan Soto, Corbin Burns and Rocky Sasaki, but ultimately let them go.
While the Blue Jays missed a few players, they didn’t give up.
They just signed Anthony Santander from the Baltimore Orioles.
MLB analyst AJ Ramos revealed what Santander will bring to the Blue Jays in 2025.
“Talk about his bat and what he brings to adjust and help Wladi,” Ramos said via Sirius XM’s MLB Network Radio.

Ramos notes that Santander would be a good addition to help Vladimir Guerrero Jr. in the Blue Jays lineup, as Guerrero was responsible for most of the offensive production in 2024.
Ramos also states that Santander should be a good addition to the club and should not cause drama for the team.
Santander played eight MLB seasons in his career, all of which came with the Orioles.
In 2024, Santander played in 155 games where he batted .235 with 44 home runs, 102 RBI and an .814 OPS.
The Blue Jays will need as much talent as possible to compete with the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox in the AL East.
