The Los Angeles Dodgers made the playoffs for the 12th straight season, finishing with a 98-64 record and winning the National League West.

The Dodgers kept their foot on the gas after winning the World Series as they made some key acquisitions this offseason to further improve their roster for next season.
Some of these acquisitions include starting pitcher Blake Snell, starting pitcher Rocky Sasaki and new closer relief pitcher Tanner Scott.
MLB analyst Robert Murray revealed the details of Scott’s deal with the Dodgers.
According to Murray on his personal “X” account, Scott signed a four-year contract with the Dodgers worth $72 million, which includes a $20 million signing bonus and $21 million in deferrals.

Scott is a 30-year-old relief pitcher who made it to the majors in 2017 with the Baltimore Orioles, and the Dodgers will be his fourth different team heading into his ninth MLB season.
Between the San Diego Padres and Miami Marlins in 2024, Scott appeared in 72 games, posting a 9-6 record with a 1.75 ERA, 22 saves and 84 strikeouts in 72.0 innings.
Although the Dodgers won the World Series, they continued to look for improvements they could make to their team the following season.
Scott is arguably one of the best lefties in the game, and he’ll join a pitching staff that includes five solid starting pitchers.
The Dodgers have been able to improve their already incredibly talented roster, and they will try to win their first World Series title in 2025.
