The Baltimore Orioles had a second straight season after finishing second in the American League East with a 91-71 record.
After winning the division 101-61 in 2023, the Orioles had high playoff hopes, but fell short, getting swept in their first series.
In 2024, the Orioles were swept again in their first series, ending another disappointing postseason.
The Orioles added Tyler O’Neal, Gary Sanchez and Charlie Morton this offseason while losing ace starting pitcher Corbin Burns.
One MLB analyst recently revealed his thoughts on the Orioles’ offseason thus far.
“I just feel like it’s half,” Eric Kratz said, via Foul Territory .

Kratz reacted to Morton’s signing by asking if it was really the move they should have made.
The 41-year-old spent 17 seasons with five MLB teams during his career.
With the Atlanta Braves in 2024, Morton started 30 games and went 8-10 with a 4.19 ERA and 167 strikeouts in 165.1 innings.
Many are expecting the Orioles to make a move this offseason and sign a big name player, but that hasn’t happened yet.
With the AL East containing the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox, the Orioles will need to make bigger strides if they want to remain competitive for the division title in 2025.
The Orioles haven’t won a World Series since 1983, and they hope to change their recent struggles in the postseason.
