The Major League Baseball postseason is heating up as only four teams remain with a chance to win the World Series.

In the National League Championship Series, the Los Angeles Dodgers took a 2-1 lead over the New York Mets entering Game 4, and the New York Yankees took a 2-0 lead over the Cleveland Cavaliers entering Game 3 of the American League Championship Series. .

Yankees shortstop Juan Soto is doing his best to help the franchise win its 28th World Series title, but all eyes will be on him as a free agent after the season ends.

MLB Network analyst Jon Heyman recently weighed in on how much Soto’s new contract will cost.

“I think $600 million is probably the number right now,” Heyman said via the B/R Walk-Off .

Soto is only 25 years old and is playing for his third MLB team.

He made his debut with the Washington Nationals in 2018, then went to the San Diego Padres in 2022 and joined the Yankees in a preseason trade.

Soto is under a $31 million contract this season.

There have been many teams rumored to be in the Soto sweepstakes, including the Yankees and Mets.

Heyman appears to believe he will sign a big number in the offseason, but wouldn’t say how long that deal would be or where it would be.

Once the postseason excitement is over, all eyes will be on Soto to see what decision he makes heading into the 2025 season.
