Major League Baseball fans can’t wait for some big-name free agent players to begin signing with new teams before the 2025 season.

Juan Soto of the New York Yankees leads the free agent class this offseason, but there are plenty of other big names, including Anthony Santander, Corbin Burns, Alex Bregman, Rocky Sasaki and Max Fried.

While some of these players’ destinations are easier to predict than others, there’s always the chance that a dark horse team swoops in and signs one of these players.

MLB analyst Dan Plesak revealed his predictions for where these six players will sign before the 2025 season.

Soto’s likely destination will reportedly be a New York-based team.

Plesak predicts Soto will end up choosing the Mets over the Yankees, which would be a big blow to the American League champions in 2025.

Along with Soto’s prediction, Plesak has the Baltimore Orioles keeping Burns while Santander loses to the Seattle Mariners, but he also suggests they sign starting pitcher Fried from the Atlanta Braves.

Finally, Plesak leaves Bregman in place and re-signs with the Houston Astros, while Japanese phenom Rocky Sasaki signs with the Chicago Cubs, joining fellow Japanese player Shota Imanaga.

It’s always interesting to see where MLB analysts predict some of these players will sign, and Plesac’s predictions seem reasonable.

The free agent class will be something to keep an eye on to see if the dark horse teams step up and steal the show.
