The Major League Baseball offseason was full of excitement with a loaded free agent class.
Along with free agents, several deals involving big-name players kept fans on the edge of their seats throughout the offseason.
Some popular offensive linemen and starters have switched teams, including Juan Soto, Corbin Burns and Blake Snell.
While starting pitchers and position players have been making moves, relief pitchers have seen less action thus far.
MLB analyst John Morosi has identified four quality relief pitchers still available on the market.
According to Morosi on his personal “X” account, there are four closers available who had 25 or more saves last year, including Kyle Finnegan, Kirby Yates, Kenley Jansen and Carlos Estevez.
For: @MLB: teams looking for bullpen help, the FC market *still* includes 4 closers who had 25+ saves last year.
Kyle Finnegan, 38
Kirby Yates, 33
Kenley Jansen, 27
Carlos Estevez, 26@MLBNetwork @MLBNetworkRadio— Jon Morosi (@jonmorosi) January 19, 2025
All four relief pitchers mentioned by Morosi are probably well-known by most MLB fans, and they all had a lot of saves last year.
Finnegan appeared in 65 games and posted a 3-8 record with a 3.68 ERA, 38 saves and 60 strikeouts in 63.2 innings.
Yates appeared in 61 games and maintained a 7-2 record with a 1.17 ERA, 33 saves and 85 strikeouts in 61.2 innings.
Jansen appeared in 54 games and posted a 4-2 record with a 3.29 ERA, 27 saves and 62 strikeouts in 54.2 innings.
In the end, Estevez appeared in 54 games and posted a 4-5 record with a 2.45 ERA and 50 strikeouts in 55.0 innings.
Relief pitchers are an important piece to any successful MLB team, and these four guys could be difference makers for whatever team they join in 2025.
These players will be names to keep an eye on moving forward in the offseason.
