The 2024 Major League Baseball season concluded with two of the best teams in the league, the New York Yankees and the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Now that the season is over, all eyes will be on the players who will become free agents this offseason.
One key player from each of these teams around the world could become a free agent.
MLB analyst Russell Dorsey has named the two sluggers in MLB free agency this offseason.
According to MLB Network’s “X,” Dorsey named Teoscar Hernandez of the Dodgers and Juan Soto of the Yankees as this year’s marquee players in free agency.

Hernandez, a World Series champion, was in his first season with the Dodgers and will now become a free agent before the 2025 season.
Hernandez hit .272 with 33 home runs, 99 RBI and an .840 OPS with the club and was voted into the All-Star Game, where he won the Home Run Derby.
The Dodgers will likely try to sign Hernandez to a new contract through the 2025 season.
Soto was also in his first year with the Yankees and is arguably the biggest name in free agency this offseason.
In his first year with the organization, Soto hit .288 with 41 home runs, 109 RBIs and a .989 OPS.
Soto will likely become the highest paid player in baseball this offseason, and the Yankees will have to pay if they want to bring him back next season.
Both of these players were important pieces in their respective teams and it will be interesting to see if either of them return to the same club next season.
