The 12th card, head of Edgar Berlanga against Hamzah Sheeraz, can be staged at the 14,000-seat Louis Armstrong Stadium in Queens, New York. This would be a strange location for a boxing opportunity. It is in the National Tennis Center.

Louis Armstrong stage
Dan Rafael reports that there is a ‘good chance’ that the venue will be the Louis Armstrong Stadium. However, it is still not official.
The scenery of Louis Armstrong Stadium is not much better than that of the Barclays Center of Madison Square Garden. If the idea is to impress fans, it won’t do much to put it in that place.
July 12-
– Edgar Lianga vs. Hamzah Sheeraz – Headliner
-Shakur Stevenson vs. William Zepeda-Medic
– Alberto Puello vs. Subriel Matias
– David Morrell vs. Imam Khataev
Fans are still upset about Berlanga (23-1, 18 COs) in the main event against Hamzah Sheeraz (21-0-1, 17 COs). They feel that WBC lightweight champion Shakur Stevenson’s title defense against popular William Zepeda (33-0, 27 COs) should be the most important event on this card.
Stevenson (23-0, 11 costs) has a world title and has won world titles in three divisions. Berlanga has never won a world title and was almost excluded on September 14 last year in his title challenge against the Unified Super Middelweight Champion Canelo Alvarez. Sheeraz will arrive on a controversial 12 round against WBC middleweight champion Carlos Adames on February 22. Many boxing fans felt that Sheeraz had lost that battle, but he got a draw.
Central Park Dreams
It is alleged that the event was staged in Central Park in New York. However, given the regulations and permits needed to set up a large outdoor event in the park would be a difficult task. There would also be problems with the environmental impact. This large Green Park area is not designed for a large crowd for a boxing event.
Per sources, while the venue is not yet official for the 12th of July # -Interestaseraz & #Stevensonzepeda The map, which will take place in NY, is a good chance that it ends up in the Louis Armstrong Stadium (14k seat, attractable roof) in the National Tennis Center in Queens. #boxing
