Major League Baseball’s offseason is loaded with free agent talent this year, and the news has been grabbing headlines lately.
With leading names such as Juan Soto, Pete Alonso and Corbin Burns, speculation abounds as to where all these players will end up in 2025.
Soto was a major league hitter who was featured by the New York Yankees, New York Mets, Los Angeles Dodgers and Boston Red Sox.
It can be fun for fans and analysts alike to guess where some of these popular players will play.
Analyst Robert Flores recently gave his predictions on six of the top free agents and where they will sign via MLB Network.

Flores predicts the Mets will win the battle in New York and win in signing Soto.
Mets owner Steve Cohen should be able to offer Soto the max if he’s willing to do so.
The only player Flores has signed with the same team he played for in 2024 is Burns, who he said will remain with the Baltimore Orioles.
While the Yankees didn’t include Soto in this projection, they do end up with third baseman Alex Bregman from the Houston Astros.
Alonso’s signing with the San Francisco Giants is an interesting prospect, as there has only been one right-handed batter to hit McCovey Cove, but Alonso’s power in all areas could change that.
Flores also has Max Fried signing with the Chicago Cubs and Anthony Santander optioned to the Washington Nationals.
As the offseason continues, Flores’ predictions will be something to watch to see how many end up being correct.
