Major League Baseball is set to kick off its finals with the World Series between the New York Yankees and the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Since most of the talk in the baseball world revolves around that series, the upcoming offseason decisions are being ignored for now.

However, once the season is over, there are plenty of storylines to pick up, including players potentially opting out of their contracts.

MLB analyst Jon Heyman highlighted some of the players who could opt out and seek new contracts this offseason.

“Gerritt Cole is likely, obviously, Sean Manaea, Nick Martinez is going to be out, Blake Snell is going to be out, and Cody Bellinger is close,” Heyman said, via the B/R Walk-Off .

The World Series is getting all the attention so far, and it’s true that Shohei Ohtani, Mookie Betts, Aaron Judge and Juan Soto are all taking center stage.

Heyman appears to believe Cole will stick with the Yankees, Manaiah has solidified himself as an ace pitcher for the New York Mets this season, Snell could change teams again after pitching for the San Francisco Giants, and Bellinger could to stay with the Chicago Cubs.

Another star to keep an eye on is Soto, who will become a free agent and could sign a record deal with either the Yankees or another team.

It’s all something to look forward to after the potentially electric World Series is over.
