Have you heard about Americans in Paris? What about Americans in Auckland? Six of them, in fact.
The quarterfinals at this year’s ASB Classic are 75 percent Stars and Stripes after Team USA scored a day in Auckland last night.

Friday’s final eight will feature two All-American clashes, with Bernarda Pera facing Robin MontgomeryWHEREAS Alycia Parks will take over Katie Volynets. Moreover, with top seeds Madison Keys Denmark native Clara Tauson will play Haily Baptiste will face seventh seed Naomi Osaka.
The 23-year-old Baptiste saved a match point to beat Jodie Burrage of Great Britain, 5-7, 7-5, 7-6(6), to reach her first WTA quarter-final. Montgomery, 20, defeated Nao Hibino, 6-2, 6-2. Parks reached her first quarter-final on the outdoor hard court with a 7-5, 6-3 win over Greet Minnen, while Keys needed just 46 minutes to defeat Jaqueline Cristian of Romania, 6-1, 6-2 .
All four quarterfinals will be played on Friday night in Auckland (Thursday night in the US).
