Alphonso Davies’ agent responds to reports of agreement with Real Madrid

Bayern Munich left-back Alphonso Davies’ agent has dismissed reports from Spain that an agreement has been reached over a to move at Real Madrid.

Davies is approaching the final six months of his Bayern contract and Madrid’s interest in his services is no secret, with the left-back first identified as a target almost 18 months ago.

A report of MARC recently claimed that Davies had already reached an agreement to join Madridwith all the details of a contract settled verbally and only a formal signature missing as the Spanish side prepare to seal the deal as soon as the January transfer window opens.

Davies’ agent, however, has insisted there is no such deal and has even left the door open to an extension Bayern.

“This is not true, although the player has many options, we have not agreed terms with any club,” said agent Nedal Huoseh. Philip Kessler. “Bayern could also be an option. Any report suggesting otherwise is wrong.”

Madrid have long made it clear to Davies that if he really wants to move to the Santiago Bernabéu, he will have to adopt the position of previous targets and reject all advances from other teams to prove his loyalty to the Whites.

Christian Falk recently revealed to the Bayern Insider podcast that Davies has lived up to his end of the bargain, after Bayern warned him he must find a new club if he does not accept what is being described as a final contract offer.

Barcelona i Manchester United both emerged as suitors for Davies – the Red Devils managed to lure Leny Yoro’s boss away from Madrid last summer – but all signs suggest Madrid are ahead in the race to sign the canadian international
