Dave Allen weighed 259.1 pounds, while his opponent, Arslanbek Makhmudov, entered 261.1 pounds on Friday, October 11, for their 12-round heavyweight collision in the Sheffield Arena in Sheffield, England. Live on dazn.
Frozen at the face-off
Allen (24-7-2, 19 COs) looked like the face-off kind of sheep with the impressive 6’5 1/2 ″ Makhmudov (20-2, 19 COs). Although ‘The White Rhino’ Allen, 33, spoke to smile to angry Arslanbek, he looked too nervous to do so as he stared through the big Russian.
Allen’s moment of doubt
Allen couldn’t hold the stars and turn away. Makhmudov continued with a threatening stare, even with Allen facing the audience. It had a different atmosphere than how he had been with Dave before.

The big puncher Makhmudov must have heard what Allen said about him about how he wanted to upset him with his thoughts before Saturday’s fight. Today, Arslanbek didn’t have it. He treated Allen like the enemy.

“It’s about people who take me seriously. I’ve been a good fighter for a long time. Now, it’s time for me to show that I’m a very, very good fighter,” Allen said.
The push of Makhmudov will be a real problem for Allen on Saturday night. It is not Johnny Fisher he is facing. It is a much more dangerous puncher and with much more talent.
Million-dollar motivation
There is a lot at stake for both fighters. Allen wants to make millions possible to fight Deontay Wilder or another top heavyweight if he overcomes.
Makhmudov has already spoken to Anthony Joshua, who told him that he was interested in fighting him in 2026. It is a fight where Makhmudov could earn many millions and set himself up in his new home of Montreal, Canada.
