Liverpool midfielder Alexis Mac Allister has urged the club to agree contract extensions with star trio Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold.
All three superstars are approaching the final six months of their respective contracts and there is significant uncertainty surrounding each of Salah, Van Dijk and Alexander-Arnold, who are all free to talk to teams abroad in a matter of weeks.
Of the three, it is Salah who has scored Liverpool under maximum pressure with a public comment series admitted his “disappointment” at not being offered an extension at this point in the season.
“I think that kind of shows who Mo is, his mentality,” Mac Allister said ESPN. “When you see him every day, he is a person who works hard, who is tireless.
“He’s the first to arrive and the last to leave. Always ready for whatever comes his way. He brings that to the pitch and he always helps us in the decisive moments when the big players get tough, he’s there. That makes us happy to all”.
“Obviously we want to share many years with him, but it’s a personal decision. The club has to make a decision and we can’t get involved. Hopefully they can reach an agreement because we want him, Virgili and Trent Continue with we hope it will be so.”
Salah has recently been linked with Paris Saint-Germain, although the French side’s president recently insisted there was no truth to the speculation.
As for Alexander-Arnold, Real Madrid have it they did not hide their interest in signing the right-backbut it has recently been reported that they have already ruled out trying their luck with a January bid and will instead wait to try and land Alexander-Arnold on a free. transfer in the summer
There appears to be more optimism regarding Van Dijk, although the Dutchman has repeatedly refused to be drawn on his future, even when he asked about his own potential move to Madrid.
