Alexis Holmes is dominated by US closed championships. Why does the Olympic gold medal winner compete to 2025?
Alexis Holmes continued 400 meters of women in the United States for one purpose. To win. He just didn’t win. He was dominated. The Olympic gold medalist has been ahead of 100 meters and never looked at the line in 50.51 seconds, the fastest time this year. It was a statement, and also proof that Holmes continues to get better.
Although some of his rivals elect next month to miss the World Neglace World Cup, Holmes embraces the challenge. He sees it as a chance and steps to something bigger.

Staten Island, New York, United States
“I just want to continue the race,” Holmes said after his victory in New York. “I love to compete.”
The 23-year-old child is not just talking. He acts on it. Inside the world, it is less inside the inside, he plans to compete at the inauguration ceremony of Grand Slam Track in Kingston. It’s an aggressive schedule, but Holmes seems to be worried.
“I think it will make me wonderful for the outdoor season,” he said. “We have done a very fast job, and I want to keep that momentum.”
That outdoor season is where he has an unfinished business. Holmes is a relay star. He was part of the 4×400 m of the US 4×400 m, which captured the Olympic gold in Paris. He helped to win the title of the world in Budapest two summer. But he still needs to benefit individual global medal outside. It pushes him.
“I am entering each meeting to win,” Holmes said. “The inside of the world will do it.”
His decision to continue the race is against the norm. Many 400 meters runners best choose to compete. Sydney Mclaughlin-Levrone, who could be the biggest star of the event, is fully sitting in a closed season. Femak Bol, a world-class Kingdom champion also chose. Nanjing field is wide.
Lieke Klaver, who left him for silver last year, is in the mixture. Norwegian Henriette Jaeger, 21-year-old Henriette Jaeger, who ran in Torun in 50.44, too. Amber Anning just won the British title with the best means of 50.57 season. But Holmes is right there with them, and unlike most of his rivals, he is a proven rival under pressure.
His consistency is his strength. He competes more than almost any of the best American spray. He competes inside and abroad in the United States and Europe, pushing his body to run at a high level throughout the year. This work has earned him a reputation as one of the most reliable performers in the region. He also continues to call the anchor team of US relays.
“It simply came to our notice then.” He said. “Nutrition, moisturizing, treatment and all that important. I stay on top of the little things. “
Holmes and his coach focused at the beginning of his race this season. Tabs, first of all the break reaches. Outside, he usually rely on a strong end. He knows that he should be faster 200 meters away, becoming a real medalist in Paris.
That’s why he doesn’t avoid a full race schedule.
Inside the world, they will test him against international international talent, and the Grand Slam meeting will increase another layer of competition. At one time, the outdoor season turns around, he will not relieve it. He will be a combat.

“Everyone builds out the outdoor worlds,” he said. “That’s where I want to peak.”
His trust has grown up with experience. He flowered at the college level, then jumped into power. He is now another competitor in the biggest meetings.
“The mileage of great stages helps,” he said. “World Championships, Olympic Games. Everything creates confidence. “
Trust is not a problem. Is not motivation. Holmes knows what he wants. He’s ready to put the job to get there.
It was one to win another national title. Now he is more aimed. If his decision to compete through the closed season can be fought, it can set him the greatest year of his career.
