Alcaraz to lead the Spanish squad Davis Cup – tennis now

Reigning Roland Garros Champion Carlos Alcaraz Aims to reset the noise to the Spanish team Davis Cup.

Captain David Ferrer has named Alcaraz, Washington, DC finalist Alejandro Davidovich Fog, Marcel Granlars AND Pedro Martinez In the Spanish squad that will host Denmark in the second round of Davis Cup set for September 13-14 in Puente Romano Tenis Club in Marbella, Spain.

“I am very happy with the commitment the players have made and the enthusiasm that the team must be able to overcome Denmark, which we already know will be a fierce Holger Rune,” Ferrer said. “But we will face it in the best way.

“Alejandro has been very stable, he is in the top 20 places of the race and Carlos comes from the profit of Roland Garros and making Wimbledon’s final, so I’m very excited that they can be with us.”

The connection will be contested in the red clay in nature in Marbella.

World no. 2 Alcaraz, who owns a single 3-0 Davis Cup record, will make his first appearance as he defeated Grookspoor 7-6, 6-3 in the quarter-finals of last November.

The 22-year-old Spanish is riding in a range of 13 righteous clay victories, capturing successive clay championships in Roland Garros and Rome. Argila’s Alcaraz’s latest loss came to the Danish star Holger Rune 7-6 (6), 6-2 in the Barcelona final in April.
