Carlos Alcaraz has returned to the men’s tennis summit. The Spaniard recovered the No.1 place in the ATP ranking Monday after his triumph at US Open in New York, ending Jannik Sinner’s 65-week reign at the top. It marks the first time Alcaraz has held the highest ranking since September 2023.
Alcaraz’s victory over the sinner in the US final Open not only secured his sixth major title, but also ended the prevailing belt of sin, shifting the balance of power once again. Novak Djokovic, who reached the semifinal in New York, also arose three points in No. 4, re -evaluating his place between the elite of the game.
Some other players made significant movements after Flashing Fort: Jan-Lennard Stuff grew 46 points to No. 98, Arthur Rinderknech was dropped 25 seats at no.57, and Adrian Mannarino climbed to 22 places to no.55.
