An old adage says beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Grass court tennis is the most attractive surface of the game for Carlos Alcaraz.
Wimbledon’s champion Alcaraz twice announces the lawn game is the most transcendent tennis for players and fans.
“I think the most beautiful tennis we can see is in the bar,” Alcaraz the media told Wimbledon today. “The style people bring to trial when playing with grass, I think it’s so beautiful.
“The sound of the ball. The movement is really hard, but when you get it, it’s the kind you are flying (smiling).”
Grass rewards athleticism, aggression and all the champion court Grand Slam, which are among the reasons Alcaraz loves lawns.
“Just good for me because I really want to hit slices, drop, go to the net all the time, playing aggressively,” said Alcaraz. “I think in the bar is the style you have to play. So that’s what I like the most.”
Riding in a better career with 18 games with 18 games in defense of his title in Wimbledon, Alcaraz opens the court’s game against Italian veteran Fabio Fognini on Monday at 1:30
Match, Alcaraz’s first match after he defeated Jiri Lehecka to win the Queen’s Club his fourth career grassy equating Rafa Nadal and Feliciano Lopez for most of a Spanish man in the Oepn era.
Double winner of the reign Roland Garros and Wimbledon are aiming to join Bjorn Borg, Pete Sampras, Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic in the capture of the three wreaths of Wimbledon in the open era.
Alcaraz said today that he is shooting the title – not necessarily that inheritance list.
“I’m coming here thinking that, yes, I really want to win the title. I really want to remove the trophy,” Alcaraz said. “Not thinking about how many players have made it, you know, winning three wimbledons in a row.
“I’m just thinking, okay, I just want to be ready and I just want to prepare in the best way possible, just to start the tour with a lot of confidence. Of course I feel very safe now (smiling).
"But just thinking about moving forward, she is still doing the good things and starting the tournament. So two weeks could be really long in a Grand Slam, but now I’m not thinking who I can join if I win three wimbledons in a row. “
While speculating the media and fans on Alcaraz’s relationship with US Open Mixed Double, Emma Raducanu has ran rampant since his return to the UK, Grand Slam champion has been busy leaving with another great British winner.
“I play some golf. Indeed, I play with Andy Murray on Monday and some other players,” Alcaraz told Post Queen’s club activity. “I just went a little in the center. I just wanted to go a little in the mall, to walk, have good food and just have quality time with them doing some things that I probably couldn’t do it while the tournament is on.”
