Indian National Cricket Team pacer Akash Deep was on top of things as he joined the media ahead of the fourth Test of the series against the Australian National Cricket Team on Sunday (December 22). The match will be played at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in Melbourne from December 26.
However, as the brief press conference came to an end, the Australian media once again raised an uproar, accusing Akash Deep and the Indian National Cricket Team of ignoring the Australian media. 7 News has created controversy again after the Ravindra Jadeja saga that unfolded yesterday.
7 News reported that the Indian National Cricket Team deliberately sent Akash, who does not speak English well, so that the Australian media could not get a response. Not only that, they also accused the speedster of not responding to their inquiry regarding the strain.
7 News asked an Indian reporter to ask Akash about the tension between the Indian team and the Australian media. However, the Indian reporter said the pacer was not comfortable with the question and asked him who had the upper hand in the series.
While the Australian media accused Akash Deep and the Indian team of refusing to talk to the Australian media, Indian journalists from RevSportz exposed 7 News. He stressed that the Australian media’s reports about him as a fast bowler were rubbish and said the team did not refuse to ask questions.
He tweeted: “Another fake report by @Channel7. Akash Deep or the Indian media team never refused to ask questions from the Australian media because they could not speak English fluently. In fact, Bharat Sundaresan today and your media house too asked an Indian journalist who was there through a trash report.

Tensions have risen between the Indian team and the Australian media. It all started after Virat Kohli got into a fight with media personnel at Melbourne Cricket Ground. It was because they were filming the battered man’s family without his consent, and that didn’t sit well with him.
Ravindra Jadeja was then accused of not answering questions. The Australian media made a big deal out of it and even argued with the media manager of the Indian team that he should only answer in Hindi and answer in English before leaving the ground.
Following this, the media manager of the Indian team also boycotted the planned media match between the Indian media and backroom team members against the Australian media. It was to be a T20 friendly at Melbourne Junction Oval on Sunday after being organized by Cricket Australia.
