Akash Deep smashes back-to-back sixes with Virat Kohli’s bat, impresses Indian legend


Indian National Cricket Team player Akash Deep has put in a valiant effort with the bat in the ongoing second Test. Bangladesh National Cricket Team. The final match of the two-match Test series between the teams is being played at the Green Park in Kanpur.

On the next ball, Shakib Al Hasan cut the length short and edged the ball inside. Akash Deep hung back and lofted it to deep mid-wicket. He timed it to perfection as the ball went a long way.

Akash Deep hit two massive sixes in the first three balls and his heroics saw India lead by over 50 runs in the first innings. But it didn’t take long for the fireworks from him as Mehidi Hasan Miraz removed him after facing two more balls.

Akash Deep tries to hit the spinner out of the park but it sinks in the deep. He miscues the loft and Khalid Ahmed settles in to take the catch and remove the corpse as India too declare their innings at 285 for nine by 52 runs.

India had a nice outing with the bat as they came with an exciting mindset and took the Bangladesh bowlers from the start. Skipper Rohit Sharma (21) and Yashasvi Jaiswal (72) gave the team a vital start with the bat as they added 50 runs in just three overs to start the flight.

Shubman Gill also played an important hand of 39 runs at No. 3, but KL Rahul and Virat Kohli were the main impetus for the Indian innings. The duo made sure to cash in on the start given by the openers as they batted aggressively and added 87 runs off 59 balls.

Rahul scored a magnificent half-century and ended with 68 runs off 43 balls. And Virat Kohli ended with 47 runs off 35 balls. In the end, India posted a total of 290 runs on the board, relying on a vital effort and strikes with the bat by Akash Deep.

They were now hoping to end Bangladesh’s innings as quickly as possible. Akash Deep will be vital for his team with the ball. He has been sensational with the ball in the last few innings and will be looking to continue his good form with the ball.
