Open Open and Australian champion Open Sinner’s reign will not defend his Rotterdam title next month after it takes time to rest and recover after Melbourne.

“After consulting with my team, we had to make the difficult decision to withdraw from ABN Amro Open,” Sinner said in a statement. “My body needs time to rest after the long deadline in Australia.

“I have great memories of winning the title in front of the amazing crowds in Rotterdam Ahoy last year and hope to go back there soon. I wish Richard (Krajicek) and the whole team a great event.”

A year ago, the sinner stopped Alex de minaur 7-5, 6-4 in the Rotterdam final.

The 23-year-old sinful, who is riding in a better career with 21 winning games, can take a break up to Indian Wells, set for March 5-16.
