Now, according to reports in the Times, it is learned that some people of the Greater Noida Organization along with Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) have organized a match to earn money at the stadium during the rainy season.
A source confirmed the development and also stated that the UPCA had contacted the Afghanistan Cricket Board to discuss the venue but they did not say anything. He said that Kanpur stadium was also offered to them. He elaborated:
“This stadium is under the Greater Noida Authority. Some of his people and some people from Afghanistan Cricket organized a match in Greater Noida during the rainy season to earn money.
“UPCA called many times and asked to meet. Whatever you need, we will give. We have experience, it will be easy for you. UPCA said that the match should be played at Green Park as the UP League is held at Ekana.
They have taken over staff from Labor Chowk to run the ground – a source blames Afghanistan Cricket Board officials
The source also issued a public statement and said that the authorities have procured workers from Labor Chowk to manage the place. He also disclosed that the super sopper was ready after ACB sent a WhatsApp message to an individual from UPCA.
“They have taken workers from Labor Chowk to manage the ground. Have you ever seen anything like this? A person from UPCA was WhatsApped, after which the Super Sopper was launched at the stadium,” he said.
