It was close at the front of the men’s main race as Belgium’s Robin Hendricks pipped the Leeds pair of Italy’s Osama Meslek and Phil Sesemann in just 13:36 as the event marked a competitive 10 years.
It was a comfortable personal best for Meslek in 13:38, while Paris Olympian Sesemann was just one second off her previous mark in 13:38.
Ben Connor was in the lead three for the first four of the five laps, but he was out of the firing line as Matt Ramsden also dropped out with a lap to go.
Connor had a personal best of 13:47, but Ramsden was just short of his previous best.
European 5000m No. 10 Hannah Nuttall was the best of the female runners, finishing six seconds ahead of junior Jess Bailey in a personal best of 15:19 to move into equal fifth place in the 2024 Great Britain rankings.
It was Bailey who led at the end of laps two, three and four, but had no answer to Natal’s final kilometer finishing speed before finishing in 15:25.
His time has overtaken Innes Fitzgerald as the all-time leader.
