Carlos Adames reports that a unification fight between him and the united middleweight champion Janibek is alimkhnuly “Almost a dipping agreement.”
This is the fight IBF and the WBO 160-pound champion Janibek (17-0, 12 COs), since 2023, and he seems to be about to get it.
The winner of the Alimkhnuly vs. WBC middle weight champion Adames Fight likes three of the four belts in the division. The only missing is the WBA title held by Erislandy Lara. Even if the Cuban Erislandy chose not to fight the January-Adames winner, they would still be in a strong position to defend a big payday against the self-proclaimed ‘Face of Boxing’ Terence Crawford in 2026.

Janibek’s long endeavor finally ends

For Adames to agree to the unification against January, he now indicates that he will be better to take the fight as he is a more attractive option for Crawford and holds three titles instead of just one. This is a risky move by Carlos, but it is perhaps his only chance.
