Coach Abel Sanchez tells Terence Crawford (41-0, 31 COs) to receive credit for defeating Canelo Alvarez (63-2-2, 39 COs) on September 13, the outcome cannot be controversial. It can’t be a robbery.
Some fans believed that Crawford’s last victory over former WBA junior middleweight champion Israil Madrimov was a robbery last year on August 3, 2024. Terence was the A side in that battle. So it is not a surprise that he achieved victory.
“He would be in the top -10, maybe the top 5. But top 10 for sure,” said coach Abel Sanchez Fighting type When asked where Terence Crawford should be placed in the large list of all time if he defeated Canelo Alvarez on September 13.
Even with a win over 35-year-old Canelo, it would be difficult to place Crawford in the top 5 all time. Canelo is too old for Terence to be seen as a wonderful time. If Crawford has defeated these three, we can call him a wonderful time:

- Dmitri BIVOL
- David Morrell
“He will have to beat Canelo, and Canelo is not robbed. It can’t be a gift. He will have to defeat him, so there is no doubt at the end. If there is, I think we are all cheated on, and he is cheated, ‘says Sanchez.
Crawford should not be under any illusions that he will make a decision. He is the B-side in this battle, and the competition takes place in Las Vegas.
“There is no way on this earth that should even be considered,” Abel said when asked whether Crawford should be placed in the top five of the greats of all time if he knocked out. “Gennadiy Golovkin, who is probably one of the most difficult hits of his era, couldn’t hurt him.
“Biblical, which is a very good puncher on a heavier weight, couldn’t hurt him. Didn’t Gamboa Terence hurt? You are talking about a man (Canelo) who has been hit by the best and greatest and has never been shocked at that level. For me, I wouldn’t even consider considering it (about Canelo knocked out by Terence), ‘Sancez said.
The light heavyweight Dmitri Bivol hit Canelo with successive shots in the fifth round of their fight in 2022, but then inexplicably supported rather than finish him. Biblical is much larger than Crawford.
“This may happen, but both must be in the same weight division,” Sanchez said of Crawford, which is striking Canelo on September 13.
It would require Crawford to land the perfect shot to get Canelo away, and he may not be prepared to sit on his shots after getting a taste of Canelo’s power.
