Mason’s ambition

Mason, 20, has a chance to increase the main meeting between WBO lightweight champion Denys Berinchyk and Keyshawn Davis. It would be impressive if he could do it, because KeyShawn got most of the attention during the build-up of Friday’s gathering with his trash and the top ranks that put him in the spotlight, in the hope that he is their next big Star will be.

Mason did not do well in his last fight against Yohan Vasquez on November 8. Mason, who fought on Keyshawn’s bottom map in Norfolk, Virginia, was dropped twice in the first round, but returned to Knockout Vasquez in the second round.

Friday’s event will be shown Live on ESPN and ESPN+, start at 9pm et/6:00 pm pt.

Title dreams

“I see myself up there with the guys holding the titles. I feel skilled that I can keep my own in one of those fights and get out on top, ”Abdullah Mason said. “But we prove ourselves, and we will continue to take the steps forward. Hopefully we grab a smaller title later this year. “

“He’s coming to fight. He will let his hands go, and he’s going to bring it, ”Abdullah Mason said Fighting type About his opponent for Friday, Manuel Jimes. “I’m here to do my job, and that’s to make him look like everyone else.

“We’re going to make it look easy. That’s what I’m here for. To do the same thing I did to everyone, whoever I get. If they put me in front of the champions, they’re going to see what’s going on, ”Abdullah said.

The top ranking is unlikely to move Mason in a world title soon due to his age and his last performance. He is too young and inexperienced to tackle any of the champions at lightweight. The highest rank is likely to wait until Mason is 24 or 25 before putting him in a world title situation.

‘Absolutely. This is the section I am in, so why not? “Mason said when asked if he saw himself fighting at some point against Keyhawn Davis. Whoever I come across, you are going to see all the flaws. If they give me the opportunity, why not? “Abdullah said when asked if he would like to fight against Gervonta Davis.

“If I get the opportunity, we’re going to go everything, and we’re going to take the best route,” Mason said.
