Aamer Jamal took one of the greatest catches in Pakistan cricket history to dismiss Ollie Pope

Aamer Jamal took an absolutely stunning catch to dismiss Ollie Pope in the ongoing first Pakistan vs England Test in Multan on Tuesday (October 8).

With the opener Ben Duckett Papa, suffering from injury, had to come on to open the innings. Duckett injured his left thumb after taking the catch of Abrar Ahmed to end Pakistan’s innings. Papa and Zak Crawley opened the scoring for the visitors.

Crawley faced the first over from Shaheen Afridi and went off the last ball for a four. Papa could only face two deliveries in the innings as Aamer Jamal’s brilliant effort sent him back. He didn’t even open his account as England captain Naseem Shah dismissed him for a two-ball duck.

On the second ball of the over, Naseem hit a slightly short one and Papa went for a strike. The right-handed batsman connected very well with the ball before Aamer Jamal came up with a stunner. Pakistan’s Aamer Jamal jumped to his right side and caught the ball with one hand while in the air.

Masood scored 151 runs and Shafique scored 102 runs as the duo shared a massive stand of 253 runs for the second innings.
